Summer Youth Program

The Summer Youth Employment and Training Program serves economically disadvantaged young people 14 to 21 years of age, providing summer jobs combined with a wide variety of educational and enrichment activities. Participants work at positions providing approximately 6 weeks of paid employment at public and non-profit agencies throughout the County. The training includes understanding employer expectations, proper attitude, job retention skills, personal responsibility, decision making, goal setting and time management. Program staffs follow up with each young person to ensure a successful endeavor.

Individuals interested in applying for the Summer Youth Employment and Training Program can apply starting in May/June.

Note: This program is for income eligible participants. Funds are provided based on unemployment and poverty levels. You can sponsor a youth to our summer program.
